The West’s Best Bets

The colleges of the West coast are legendary for their laid back lifestyle, gorgeous women,
beautiful beaches and sprawling campuses. With so many different options for those
looking to see what paradise looks like; look no further than the schools of the Pacific 12
Conference.

In a head to head battle of epic proportions, I bring you the West’s Best Bets wherein I will pit
the schools against one another in a bracket style competition. Since there are only 12 schools in
the Pac, I have extended the field so that we can have a true Sweet 16 competition in four distinct
brackets. I will be judging the schools on the following criteria:

Do the ASU women have enough to carry their school?

• Athletics – a total of 30 points possible
• Women – a total of 25 points possible
• Local Bars & Pubs – a total of 20 points possible
• Weather – a total of 15 points possible
• Academics – a total of 10 points possible

In the Evergreen Region, we have the Oregon Ducks, the Oregon St. Beavers, the Washington Huskies and the Washington St. Cougars.

In the Silicon Region, we have the Stanford Cardinal, the California Golden Bears, the Boise St.Broncos and the Utah Utes.

In the Beach Region, we have the USC Trojans, the UCLA Bruins, the SDSU Aztecs and the University of San Diego Toreros.

Will the dominance of the Oregon football team prevail?

In the Southwest Region, we have the ASU Sun Devils, the Arizona Wildcats, the Colorado Buffaloes and the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels.

Hitch a ride with me as I explore the beauty of the desert, the glory the Rocky Mountains, the
emerald green of the Pacific Northwest, the high-tech sector in the Silicon Valley and the
glistening beaches of southern California – these are the West’s Best Bets!
