Sophomore RJ Ybarra set a career high with five RBI and tied his career best with three hits and a walk-off sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 11th inning to put ASU over the top, 10-9. Saturday’s victory secured the Sun Devils’ third consecutive conference series win and its seventh win in eight games. Arizona Sate baseball (17-11, 7-4) is ranked in only one national poll, No. 25 by Collegiate Baseball newspaper, but should start receiving national recognition after its strong showing as of late.
Ybarra has been the definition of clutch with five career game-winning hits after the eight inning—one each over the past three weekends.
