Arizona State baseball traveled to Corvallis, Ore., over the weekend to take on the No. 4 ranked Oregon State Beavers at Goss Stadium and walked out with a series victory. The Sun Devils (12-10, 3-3 Pac-12) rebounded from a difficult series home loss to Washington and defeated Oregon State (19-4, 4-2) in consecutive games over the weekend.
It was a reversal of sorts for the Arizona State pitching staff as staff ace Brett Lilek took the only loss of the weekend. Lilek (3-1) suffered his first loss of the season but delivered a formidable effort. Through four innings, Lilek surrendered only three hits and struck out six Beavers’ batters.
