David is about as close to being an Arizona expert as they come. Having attended juior high, high school & 4 years at ASU in the metropolitan Phoenix area, he also attended college in Flagstaff for two years and has currently lived in Tucson since the summer of 2007. No stone (or cactus) of his beloved home state has been left unturned. From Douglas to Bullhead City, Yuma to Four Corners, Lukeville to Page, David knows and loves the beauty of Arizona.
Born in beautiful San Diego, California to a Navy man, David & his family traveled to the Philippines & Corpus Christi, Texas before moving to their eventual home in Arizona. David also joined the Navy after high school and traveled to Florida, Scotland & the Washington, DC area. After the military, David returned to Arizona and attended Northern Arizona University and eventually Arizona State University where he gained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.
He held myriad restaurant jobs ranging from waiting tables to managing a multi-million dollar nightclub in Tempe. Upon graduation, his love for college athletics was so strong that he took an unpaid internship in the Athletics department at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
His expertise in that position landed him a fundraising director position across the country at Wesley College in Dover, Delaware. He developed an annual giving program from the ground up and coordinated all the separate schools as well as the sports teams.
After three years removed, David once again returned to Arizona.
His passion for craft beer and college athletics continued to grow as he took on a position managing a local brewery as well as working on the media operations team for eight Insight and Fiesta Bowls and three NCAA National Championship Games.
He currently resides in Tucson with his beautiful wife who shares his love of beer and their two gorgeous golden retrievers.
He is an accomplished writer with his articles published by Pac-12.com, Bleacher Report, College Baseball Central, Yahoo!
